iDream Solutions is officially ten years old! We can’t quite believe we have been transforming Devon driveways for a whole decade.
To celebrate this fantastic milestone, we wanted to dedicate this month’s blog post to revisiting some of our favourite projects to date, as well as providing some more information about our company values and our team of expert contractors. Our Top Surfacing Transformations
Now you know more about the company and the services we offer, we wanted to look back on some of our top driveway transformations in Devon, as well as some bigger projects we proudly completed:
Powderham Castle Resin Pathway Resurfacing
Transforming the pathways of one of Devon’s most iconic attractions, Powderham Castle, has definitely been a highlight for us over the years. iDream Solutions installed high-quality butter blended resin bound surfacing across the pathways surrounding the toilet blocks and outhouses, to give the pathways a modernised and more uniformed appearance.
The family requested a surface that would be low-maintenance but highly durable, as Powderham Castle hosts several big events each year and welcomes thousands of visitors, which is why we opted for resin. The Powderham Castle resin pathway resurfacing was hugely rewarding and we are looking forward to taking on more commercial surfacing projects going forward.
Exeter Flood Defence Project – Double Locks
Next, we have our Exeter flood defence project at Double Locks, where the team at iDream Solutions worked along Exeter City Council and Addagrip to assist them with a two-phase flood defence scheme along the River Exe. As part of this, we create a strong resin-bound stone surfacing either side of the flood defences, to create safer, more durable public footpaths that would blend seamlessly into the surrounding areas.
This rustic-looking resin surface has given the area a much-needed facelift and now provides an excellent route for walkers, runners and cyclists to enjoy along the river.
Complete Residential Landscaping Project
Perhaps one of our favourite domestic projects is the complete residential landscaping we took on at a property in Newton Abbot. The customer wanted an entire garden transformation, so we ended up adding the following:
- Retaining walls
- Steps
- Cedral cladding
- Rainbow sandstone paving
- Resin bound surfacing
- Artificial grass
- A wooden structure for the hot tub
- Childs playhouse
- Water feature
Despite the weather not being in our favour during this landscaping project, we managed to complete it in time and remained within the customer’s budget. Beforehand the garden was in need of a little TLC, with overgrown plants, a worn-out patio and no defined areas. Now, the space feels much bigger and is full of life! It will undoubtedly be enjoyed for years to come.
